Regular Season Round 21: Avtodor-2 - Khimki-2 82-101

No shocking result in a game when second ranked Khimki-2 (24-6) crushed 8th ranked Avtodor-2 (11-19) in Saratov 101-82 on Friday. Khimki-2 dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Avtodor-2's 40. Khimki-2 had a 27-15 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. It was a good game for power forward Sergey Klyuyev (207-98) who led his team to a victory with 22 points and 7 rebounds. Point guard Elkhan Akhmedov (184-98) contributed with 7 points, 6 rebounds and 11 assists for the winners. Nikolai Kosichkin (203-98) answered with 17 points and point guard Igor Bestuzhev (180-99) added 16 points and 4 assists in the effort for Avtodor-2. Four Avtodor-2 players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Khimki-2 maintains second place with 24-6 record behind leader Samara-2. Avtodor-2 lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with 19 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
