Chelbasket outrebounded Univ.Surgut 45-28 including a 22-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. American forward Nathaniel Pollard Jr (196-2000, college: UMES, agency: Elevate Sports Alliance) scored 16 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and swingman Ruslan Tumanov (195-1991, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) chipped in 12 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Pollard Jr. is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Chelbasket players scored in double figures. Center Alexey Kurtsevich (210-1989) responded with 10 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Kirill Salmin (191-1995) scored 17 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games.
