Everything went according to plan when leaderTofas (7-0) defeated 10th ranked Petkimspor (3-4) in Izmir 107-99 on Sunday. Tofas shot 60.7 percent from the field. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. It was an exceptional evening for Mexican-American point guard Alexander Perez-Kaufmann (191-1993) who led the winners and scored 16 points and 9 assists. American Marcquise Reed (190-1995, college: Clemson, agency: Octagon Europe) accounted for 11 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Five Tofas players scored in double figures. Tofas' coach Orhun Ene used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. American guard Breein Tyree (188-1998, college: Ole Miss, agency: Octagon Europe) came up with 31 points and 4 assists and the other American import Wesley Van Beck (193-1996, college: Houston) added 27 points (made all of his twelve free throws !!!) respectively for Petkim in the defeat. Tofas have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader. Loser Petkimspor keeps the tenth place with four games lost. They share the position with Mersin BBGSK.
