We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when fifth rankedCayirova (10-7) won against on the road 4th placed Ankaragucu (12-5) 85-71 on Wednesday. Cayirova made 20-of-26 free shots (76.9 percent) during the game. American point guard Diante Watkins (175-1990, college: RMU, agency: BIG) nailed 25 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side and guard Koray Cekici (186-2002) accounted for 12 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Cayirova players scored in double figures. American forward CJ Elleby (198-2000, college: WSU) came up with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 16 rebounds and Altan Erol (195-1983) added 14 points and 7 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) respectively for Ankaragucu in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Cayirova maintains fifth place with 10-7 record, which they share with TED Ankara and Konya BBSK. Loser Ankaragucu dropped to the second position with five games lost. They share it with Trabzonspor and Sigortam.net.
