Regular Season Round 14: Emlak - Mersin 82-83

The most exciting game of round 14 in the KBSL took place in Istanbul. This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of one of their biggest challengersEmlak (8-4) to fourth ranked Mersin (8-4) 83-82 in the game for the third place. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Emlak. Mersin made 19-of-21 free shots (90.5 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Serbian-American guard Yvonne Anderson (170-1990, college: Texas) had a double-double by scoring 18 points, 7 rebounds and 12 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) to lead the charge for the winners and American forward Natasha Howard (188-1991, college: FSU, agency: LBM Management) chipped in 23 points and 13 rebounds during the contest. American-Cameroonian guard Jessica Thomas (168-1994, college: Miami, FL) responded with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists and Senegalese-Spanish center Astou Ndour-Fall (196-1994) scored 18 points and 9 rebounds. Four Mersin and five Emlak players scored in double figures. Mersin have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with defeated Emlak.
