LeaderErokspor delivered the fifteenth win on Friday night. This time they beat 6th ranked Cayirova (11-8) 91-81 in Istanbul. Erokspor looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. 25 personal fouls committed by Cayirova helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American center Jeremy Simmons (204-1989, college: Charleston) fired a double-double by scoring 23 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Yigit Sarikaya (202-1999) chipped in 17 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Simmons is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American point guard Diante Watkins (175-1990, college: RMU, agency: BIG) produced 19 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists and the other American import center Jamelle Hagins (206-1990, college: Delaware, agency: MSG) added 21 points and 9 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Erokspor (15-4) have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain first place. Cayirova at the other side dropped to the fifth position with eight games lost. They share it with TED Ankara.
