BSL top team -Fenerbahce (12-1) managed to deliver another win on Sunday. This time they beat sixth ranked Pinar Karsiyaka (8-5) in Istanbul 101-90 . Fenerbahce outrebounded Pinar Karsiyaka 34-22 including 26 on the defensive glass. Fenerbahce looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The former international Melih Mahmutoglu (191-1990) nailed 17 points for the winning side and American swingman Devon Hall (196-1995, college: Virginia, agency: Octagon Europe) accounted for 13 points and 5 assists. Five Fenerbahce players scored in double figures. American point guard Daron Russell (180-1998, college: Maryland) came up with 40 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 8 assists and international center Muhsin Yasar (210-1995) added 17 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) respectively for Pinar Karsiyaka in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Fenerbahce have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 12-1 record. Loser Pinar Karsiyaka keeps the sixth position with five games lost. They share it with Bahcesehir.
