There was a minor upset in Balikesir where 7th rankedEmlak 2 (8-9) was crushed by tenth ranked Burhaniye (8-9) 70-51 on Sunday. Burhaniye dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Emlak 2 's 22. Burhaniye forced 21 Emlak 2 turnovers. The best player for the winners was American center Shelby Cheslek (196-1992, college: Gonzaga, agency: LBM Management) who had a double-double by scoring 30 points and 15 rebounds. Forward Ozge Karatas (174-1996) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds. Center Zeynep Celik (193-2004) produced 8 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Ceren Akpinar (175-2005) added 9 points (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Burhaniye moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Emlak 2 .
