There was no surprise in Istanbul where 10th rankedTurk Telekom (6-9) was defeated by fifth ranked Besiktas (10-5) 96-88 on Saturday. Besiktas dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Turk Telekom 's 36. It was a great evening for Montenegrin-American point guard Derek Needham (180-1990, college: Fairfield) who led his team to a victory scoring 15 points and 6 assists. Irish-Canadian power forward Conor Morgan (206-1994, college: UBC) helped adding 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. The best for the losing side was Canadian Olivier Hanlan (193-1993, college: Boston Coll.) with 24 points and American Anthony Brown (199-1992, college: Stanford) scored 19 points. Five Besiktas and four Turk Telekom players scored in double figures. Turk Telekom's coach Erdem Can rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Besiktas moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Galatasaray. Loser Turk Telekom dropped to the eleventh position with nine games lost.
