There was a minor upset in Istanbul where 10th rankedTurk Telekom (7-10) was defeated by twelfth ranked Buyukcekmece (6-11) 105-101 on Saturday. Buyukcekmece made 34-of-43 free shots (79.1 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard Jermaine Love (191-1989, college: UIS) who scored 22 points and 5 assists. Dutch guard Yannick Franke (196-1996) chipped in 19 points and 7 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Colombian swingman Braian Angola-Rodas (198-1994, college: FSU) produced 24 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and American Anthony Brown (199-1992, college: Stanford) added 26 points respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Buyukcekmece maintains twelfth place with 6-11 record, which they share with Darussafaka. Loser Turk Telekom dropped to the ninth position with ten games lost. They share it with Bursaspor and Petkim.
