Tenth-rankedFenerbahce (12-12) gave a tough game to first ranked Erokspor (19-5) in Istanbul on Friday. Erokspor managed to secure only one-point victory 110-109 . However their fans expected much easier game. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Fenerbahce. Erokspor looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. The best for the losing side was American point guard Ben Shungu (188-1997, college: Vermont) with 30 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists and forward Hamza Mestoglu (201-2004, agency: Octagon Europe) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Erokspor and five Fenerbahce 2 players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Erokspor have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 19-5 record. Fenerbahce 2 at the other side dropped to the eighth place with 12 games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams.
