Eleventh-rankedBursaspor (7-11) made lots of trouble for first ranked Fenerbahce (17-1). The visitors from Istanbul managed to secure only one-point victory 98-97 . However their fans expected much easier game. Fenerbahce players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. It was a good game for American forward Nigel Hayes-Davis (203-1994, college: Wisconsin) who saved his team from a defeat with 20 points. The former international Tarik Biberovic (201-2001) contributed with 17 points and 4 assists for the winners. Five Fenerbahce players scored in double figures. Fenerbahce's coach Sarunas Jasikevicius allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. The former international swingman David Mutaf (197-2002, college: Minnesota) replied with 32 points and French point guard David Michineau (191-1994) added 31 points in the effort for Bursaspor. Fenerbahce have an impressive 13-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 17-1 record. Bursaspor lost sixth consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth place with 11 games lost. They share the position with Buyukcekmece and Petkim. Fenerbahce's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Istanbul Darussafaka.
