Very expected game in Kocaeli where 5th rankedCayirova (16-12) was defeated by first ranked Trabzonspor (22-6) 75-71 on Friday. Trabzonspor looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Australian swingman Mitch Creek (196-1992) who helped to win the game recording 36 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds and point guard Can Ugur Ogut (178-1992) who added 17 points during the contest. At the losing side American point guard Diante Watkins (175-1990, college: RMU, agency: BIG) responded with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and point guard Eray Aydogan (185-2000) scored 15 points. Cayirova's coach Engin Gencoglu let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Trabzonspor have a solid three-game winning streak. Newly promoted Trabzonspor maintains first position with 22-6 record. Loser Cayirova keeps the fifth place with 12 games lost. They share the position with Cagdas BS.
