The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Balikesir:Ferhatoglu (#1) and Burhaniye (#5). Burhaniye was crushed at home by 29 points 50-79 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of Burhaniye. Ferhatoglu forced 23 Burhaniye turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Irem Topuz (176-1997) who helped to win the game recording 13 points and 6 rebounds. Gunesh Karaoglan (-1997) contributed with 14 points and 4 assists for the winners. Forward Ozge Karatas (174-1996) answered with 15 points and 6 rebounds and center Eylul Minez (185-1999) added 12 points in the effort for Burhaniye. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Ferhatoglu (25-0) have an impressive series of twenty five victories in a row. They maintain first place with a perfect record of 25 victories in a row. Burhaniye at the other side keeps the fifth position with ten games lost.
