Top rankedErokspor (21-6) recorded its sixth loss in Istanbul on Monday night. Hosts were defeated by fourth ranked Ankaragucu (17-9) 85-72 . It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Erokspor. Ankaragucu looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American point guard Marlain Veal (175-1996, college: SE Louisiana) fired 21 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. The other American import forward CJ Elleby (198-2000, college: WSU) chipped in 17 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Yigit Sarikaya (202-1999) produced 13 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Huseyin Kandemir (196-1995) added 17 points respectively for lost side. Four Erokspor players scored in double figures. Erokspor's coach Ilker Salman rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Ankaragucu have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 17-9 record. Erokspor at the other side dropped to the second place with six games lost.
