The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Istanbul:Galatasaray (#3) and Emlak (#4). Emlak was defeated at home 56-68 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. Galatasaray looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Chinese center Li Yueru (201-1999) had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Belgian point guard Julie Vanloo (173-1993) chipped in 18 points, 5 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals during the contest. Galatasaray's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Senegalese-Spanish center Astou Ndour-Fall (196-1994) responded with 20 points and 9 rebounds and American-Cameroonian guard Jessica Thomas (168-1994, college: Miami, FL) scored 17 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Galatasaray have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Mersin. Emlak at the other side keeps the fourth position with seven games lost.
