Everything went according to plan when fourth rankedTofas (16-6) defeated 11th ranked Petkimspor (8-14) in Izmir 95-88 on Saturday. Tofas shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 57.7 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Mexican-American point guard Alexander Perez-Kaufmann (191-1993) notched 28 points and 6 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and American Marcquise Reed (190-1995, college: Clemson, agency: Octagon Europe) supported him with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Even 26 points and 4 assists (made all of his seven free throws) by American Wesley Van Beck (193-1996, college: Houston) did not help to save the game for Petkim . His fellow American import guard Breein Tyree (188-1998, college: Ole Miss, agency: Octagon Europe) added 13 points and 8 assists for lost side. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Tofas moved-up to third place, which they share with Anadolu Efes. Petkim lost third consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with 14 games lost. They share it with Pinar Karsiyaka.
