There was no surprise when 5th rankedBurhaniye (16-11) was crushed on the road by third ranked Adana (20-7) 69-46 on Saturday. Adana dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Burhaniye 's 24. Adana forced 20 Burhaniye turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for Ilknur Cetin (-1996) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds. American center Danielle Adams (185-1989, college: Texas A&M) helped adding 21 points and 5 rebounds. The best for the losing side was center Eylul Minez (185-1999) with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and American center Shelby Cheslek (196-1992, college: Gonzaga, agency: LBM Management) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Adana have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain third place with 20-7 record having seven points less than leader Ferhatoglu. Loser Burhaniye keeps the fifth position with 11 games lost.
