Very expected game when 10th rankedBordo (16-16) was smashed by sixth ranked Cayirova (19-13) in Balikesir 87-61 on Saturday. Cayirova dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Bordo 's 32. Cayirova looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Cayirova made 8 blocks. The winners were led by American point guard Diante Watkins (175-1990, college: RMU, agency: BIG) who scored that evening 18 points and 4 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) and the other American import center Jamari Traylor (203-1992, college: Kansas) supported him with 18 points and 5 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). Even 13 points, 5 assists and 4 steals by point guard Ismet Avsar (192-1999, agency: BIG) did not help to save the game for Bordo . Erkin Senel (191-1999) added 12 points for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Cayirova moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Cagdas BS. Newly promoted Bordo dropped to the ninth position with 16 games lost. They share it with Haremspor.
