Regular Season Round 24: Buyukcekmece - Mersin BBGSK 66-63

The most exciting game of round 24 in the BSL took place in Istanbul. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 7th rankedMersin BBGSK (12-12) to eighth ranked Buyukcekmece (11-13) 66-63 on Sunday evening. The best player for the winners was Dutch guard Yannick Franke (196-1996) who scored 19 points and 5 rebounds. American guard Jermaine Love (191-1989, college: UIS) chipped in 13 points (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Buyukcekmece's coach Ozhan Civgin used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was British center Gabriel Olaseni (208-1991, college: Iowa) who recorded a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds and the former international point guard Kartal Ozmizrak (189-1995) added 13 points and 4 assists respectively. Buyukcekmece maintains eighth position with 11-13 record. Newly promoted Mersin BBGSK keeps the seventh place with 12 games lost.
