This time newly promoted Yalovaspor edged eighth-ranked Buyukcekmece in Istanbul 91-89 . It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Buyukcekmece. Strangely Buyukcekmece outrebounded Yalovaspor 33-21 including 25 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. American point guard David Nichols (183-1996, college: FSU) nailed 18 points and 6 assists for the winning side and his fellow American import guard Grant Sherfield (188-1999, college: Oklahoma, agency: Octagon Europe) accounted for 11 points and 10 assists. Four Yalovaspor players scored in double figures. American guard Jermaine Love (191-1989, college: UIS) came up with 23 points and 4 assists and Dutch guard Yannick Franke (196-1996) added 20 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Buyukcekmece in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Newly promoted Yalovaspor maintains sixteenth place with 6-19 record. Loser Buyukcekmece keeps the eighth position with 14 games lost. They share it with Turk Telekom.
