There was a small surprise when tenth rankedTurk Telekom (11-14) defeated on the road 7th ranked Mersin BBGSK (12-13) 94-80 on Saturday. Turk Telekom looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American Anthony Brown (199-1992, college: Stanford) nailed 19 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side and German point guard Ismet Akpinar (193-1995) accounted for 23 points and 4 assists. Five Turk Telekom players scored in double figures. Turk Telekom's coach Erdem Can allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. British center Gabriel Olaseni (208-1991, college: Iowa) came up with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds and American-Montenegrin guard Justin Cobbs (191-1991, college: California, agency: Octagon Europe) added 22 points respectively for Mersin BBGSK in the defeat. Turk Telekom moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Buyukcekmece. Mersin BBGSK lost their third game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the seventh position with 13 games lost.
