There was an upset in Bursa where higher rankedTofas (16-10) was defeated by ninth ranked Turk Telekom (12-14) 86-72 on Monday. Turk Telekom made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was German point guard Ismet Akpinar (193-1995) who scored 24 points and 4 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Canadian center Kyle Alexander (208-1996, college: Tennessee) chipped in 10 points and 9 rebounds. Turk Telekom's coach Erdem Can used a ten-player rotation saving starting five for next games. Mexican-American point guard Alexander Perez-Kaufmann (191-1993) produced 16 points and 5 assists and Serbian swingman Uros Trifunovic (200-2000) added 13 points respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Turk Telekom moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Buyukcekmece. Tofas lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with ten games lost.
