There was no surprise in Istanbul whereBuyukcekmece (0-3) was crushed by Besiktas (3-0) 100-76 on Friday. Besiktas shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 51.7 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Buyukcekmece 's players. It was a great evening for American Anthony Brown (199-1992, college: Stanford) who led his team to a victory scoring 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. His fellow American import Vitto Brown (203-1995, college: Wisconsin) helped adding 13 points and 6 rebounds. The best for the losing side was Dutch point guard Keye Van Der Vuurst (191-2001) with 17 points and 6 assists and American Jalen Lecque (194-2000, college: NC State) scored 16 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
