Important game to mention about took place in Ankara. Fourth rankedGoztepe (5-1) saved a 1-point victory on the road edging 18th ranked TED Ankara (1-5) 87-86 on Sunday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. American point guard Jordan Barnes (178-1997, college: Indiana St.) notched 26 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists to lead the effort and Senegalese center Abdoulaye Gueye (206-1994, college: Georgia Tech) supported him with 23 points and 10 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field). Four Goztepe players scored in double figures. Goztepe's coach Ahmet Demirci allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even 26 points and 8 rebounds by did not help to save the game for TED Ankara . American point guard Chris Warren (177-1988, college: Ole Miss) added 21 points. Goztepe moved-up to third place, which they share with Gaziantep. TED Ankara lost fifth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with five games lost. They share it with 4 other teams.
