Very expected game when 9th rankedDarica (2-4) lost to fifth ranked Istanbul GSK (5-1) in Koaceli 63-79 on Sunday. Istanbul GSK dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Darica 's 32. Istanbul GSK looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. American players dominated the game. It was an exceptional evening for center Sasha Goodlett (195-1990, college: Georgia Tech, agency: LBM Management) who led the winners and scored 22 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Guard Doniyah Cliney (182-1996, college: S.Carolina) accounted for 12 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side. Four Istanbul GSK players scored in double figures. Guard Brittany Byrd (176-1996, college: UIC) came up with 20 points and 8 rebounds (made all of her seven free throws) and point guard Nyla Jean (168-2002, college: Southern Miss) added 12 points and 9 assists respectively for Darica in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Istanbul GSK have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Kirklareli. Newly promoted Darica dropped to the tenth position with four games lost. They share it with Emlak 2.
