First defeat of league's leaderEfes (6-1) against leader Besiktas (7-0) 78-69 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Efes. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Besiktas made 22-of-26 free shots (84.6 percent) during the game. 24 personal fouls committed by Anadolu Efes helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of American Jonah Mathews (191-1998, college: USC) who helped to win the game recording 25 points (made all of his nine free throws !!!). His fellow American import Anthony Brown (199-1992, college: Stanford) contributed with 11 points and 4 assists for the winners. International power forward Ercan Osmani (213-1998) answered with 18 points and 7 rebounds and French center Brice Dessert (212-2003) added 12 points and 7 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) in the effort for Anadolu Efes. Efes' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Besiktas have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader. Anadolu Efes at the other side dropped to the second place with one game lost. They share the position with Fenerbahce and Bahcesehir. They were replaced at the leadership position by Besiktas.
