Everything could happen in Izmir at the game between two tied teams. Both ninth rankedErokspor and 8th ranked Petkimspor had identical 3-3 record. But Petkimspor was not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Istanbul 79-70 on Sunday night. Erokspor dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Petkimspor 's 24. Erokspor forced 21 Petkim turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for French power forward Petr Cornelie (211-1995) who led the winners and scored 13 points and 9 rebounds. American point guard Jordon Crawford (168-1990, college: BGSU, agency: Slash Sports) accounted for 14 points and 4 assists for the winning side. Four Erokspor players scored in double figures. Erokspor's coach Ufuk Sarica used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Nigerian-American guard David Efianayi (188-1995, college: Gardner-Webb) came up with 20 points and 5 assists and Dutch swingman Yannick Franke (196-1996) added 18 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Petkim in the defeat. The victory was the third consecutive win for Erokspor . They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Petkimspor dropped to the ninth position with four games lost. They share it with Turk Telekom.
