Everything could happen in Istanbul at the game between two tied teams. Both tenth rankedDarica and 11th ranked Emlak 2 had identical 2-5 record. But Emlak 2 was not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Koaceli 73-65 on Saturday night. Darica forced 19 Emlak 2 turnovers and outrebounded them 57-30 including a 25-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American guard Brittany Byrd (176-1996, college: UIC) who scored 22 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals. Her fellow American import forward Dekeiya Cohen (188-1996, college: Baylor) chipped in 9 points, 20 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American center Camille Hobby (190-2001, college: Illinois) who recorded 11 points and 7 assists and added 14 points respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted Darica maintains tenth place with 3-5 record, which they share with Mersin Secil. Loser Emlak 2 dropped to the twelfth position with six games lost.
