No shocking result in a game when fifth rankedMersin (4-2) defeated at home 9th ranked Ormanspor (1-5) 80-63 on Saturday. Mersin looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a great evening for American guard Kennedy Burke (185-1997, college: UCLA) who led her team to a victory scoring 23 points, 5 assists and 4 steals. Lithuanian forward Laura Juskaite (187-1997) helped adding 11 points and 11 rebounds. Five Mersin players scored in double figures. At the losing side British-American power forward Kristine Anigwe (193-1997, college: California) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and scored 14 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Mersin . They maintain fifth place with 4-2 record. Loser Ormanspor keeps the ninth position with five games lost. They share it with Kocaeli.
