There was a small surprise when ninth rankedTrabzonspor (5-5) defeated at home 6th ranked Tofas (5-5) 92-87 on Friday. Trabzonspor made 19-of-23 free shots (82.6 percent) during the game. American Marcquise Reed (190-1995, college: Clemson, agency: Octagon Europe) notched 41 points (!!!) to lead the effort and Russian point guard Tony Taylor (184-1990, college: GWU) supported him with 23 points and 7 assists. Trabzonspor's coach Selcuk Ernak used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Even 16 points and 9 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) by Lithuanian center Marek Blazevic (209-2001) did not help to save the game for Tofas . The former international swingman Furkan Korkmaz (201-1997) added 16 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. Four Tofas players scored in double figures. Trabzonspor moved-up to seventh place, which they share with defeated Tofas.
