TKBL top team -Samsun (11-1) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed tenth ranked Darica (4-7) 96-62 . It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Darica. Samsun dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Darica 's 26 and made 16-of-18 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. Samsun forced 21 Darica turnovers and outrebounded them 37-26 including a 31-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Samsun looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of DreUna Edwards who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. Ozdoan Cansu contributed with 16 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Five Samsun players scored in double figures. American forward Dekeiya Cohen (188-1996, college: Baylor) answered with 20 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and the other American import guard Brittany Byrd (176-1996, college: UIC) added 15 points in the effort for Darica. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Samsun maintains first place with 11-1 record. Newly promoted Darica keeps the tenth position with seven games lost.
