Regular Season Round 11: Bahcesehir - Besiktas 88-95

Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Istanbul:Besiktas (#1) and Bahcesehir (#2). Bahcesehir was defeated at home 88-95 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Bahcesehir. Besiktas made 20-of-23 charity shots (87.0 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. It was an exceptional evening for Croatian center Ante Zizic (210-1997) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. American point guard Devon Dotson (188-1999, college: Kansas) accounted for 17 points and 4 assists for the winning side. Five Besiktas players scored in double figures. American power forward Trevion Williams (206-2000, college: Purdue) came up with 20 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import Tyler Cavanaugh (206-1994, college: GWU) added 21 points (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) respectively for Bahcesehir in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the eleventh consecutive win for Besiktas . They maintain first place with 11-0 record. Bahcesehir at the other side dropped to the third position with two games lost.
