An interesting game took place in Ankara where 4th placedGoztepe (11-4) was upset on the court of fifteenth ranked Ankaragucu (5-10) 84-64 . The game without a history. Ankaragucu led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 17-of-20 charity shots (85.0 percent) during the game. Ankaragucu outrebounded Goztepe 46-33 including 16 on the offensive glass. Ankaragucu players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Goztepe was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was an exceptional evening for Cameroonian forward Benoit Mbala (200-1995) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds. Dogan Bozveli accounted for 16 points and 5 assists for the winning side. Four Ankaragucu players scored in double figures. Senegalese center Abdoulaye Gueye (206-1994, college: Georgia Tech) came up with 17 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks and forward Umut Gecen (-1997) added 16 points and 4 assists respectively for Goztepe in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ankaragucu moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Final Spor. Goztepe at the other side keeps the fourth position with four games lost. They share it with Bordo.
