A very close game took place in Istanbul betweenDarussafaka Lassa and Kocaeli . Ninth ranked Darussafaka Lassa (7-8) got a very close home victory over 15th ranked Kocaeli (4-11). Darussafaka Lassa managed to escape with a 2-point win 67-65 on Sunday evening. Host team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. The winners were led by Ismail Karabilen who had that evening a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds and point guard Eray Aydogan (185-2000) supported him with 24 points and 5 assists. Even 31 points by American point guard Keshun Sherrill (175-1994, college: Augusta) did not help to save the game for Kocaeli . International swingman Okben Ulubay (201-1997) added 5 points and 8 assists for lost side. Kocaeli's coach Ahmet Yolcu tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Darussafaka moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Kahramanmaras. Kocaeli lost seventh consecutive game. They dropped to the fourteenth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Balikesir BBS.
