Regular Season Round 16: TED Ankara - Cayirova 87-86

The most exciting game of round 16 in the TBL took place in Ankara. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of much higher rankedCayirova (13-3) to tenth ranked TED Ankara (6-9) 87-86 on Sunday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the guest team. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Cayirova. TED Ankara looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Brandon Walters (208-1995, college: MTSU) who helped to win the game recording 25 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Tayfun Erulku contributed with 20 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists (made all of his eight free throws) for the winners. point guard Omer Utku Al (181-1998) replied with 12 points and 6 assists and Jamari Traylor added 12 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Cayirova. Five Cayirova players scored in double figures. Cayirova's coach Dervis Guney rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. TED Ankara maintains tenth position with 6-9 record. Cayirova at the other side dropped to the third place with three games lost.
