Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Istanbul:Efes (#7) and Galatasaray (#5). Efes (7-5) won against visiting Galatasaray (7-5) 92-84 . Anadolu Efes made 28-of-34 charity shots (82.4 percent) during the game. Galatasaray was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for international power forward Ercan Osmani (213-1998) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. French center Brice Dessert (212-2003) contributed with 20 points and 5 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!) for the winners. American guard Errick McCollum (188-1988, college: Goshen) replied with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and his fellow American import James Palmer Jr (198-1996, college: Nebraska) added 18 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for Galatasaray. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Anadolu Efes moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Trabzonspor and Galatasaray.
