No shocking result in a game when second rankedIstanbul GSK (11-3) smashed on the road 14th ranked Edirne (1-12) 81-60 on Saturday. Istanbul GSK dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Edirne 's 26. They outrebounded Edirne 46-35 including 32 on the defensive glass. Istanbul GSK looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was a great evening for forward Sevgi Tonguc (180-2002) who led her team to a victory scoring 27 points and 7 rebounds. Irem Tutar helped adding 9 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists. Istanbul GSK's coach Aleyna Serce felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was Hilal Bayraktar (163-2000) with 15 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals and her fellow American import forward Kennedi Jackson (190-2001, college: Charleston So.) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. Istanbul GSK maintains second place with 11-3 record behind leader Samsun. Edirne lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the fourteenth position with 12 games lost.
