There was an upset in Istanbul where higher rankedFenerbahce (7-10) was defeated by thirteenth ranked Haremspor (6-10) 92-85 on Sunday. It was a great shooting night for Haremspor especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was Muhammet Kalkan who scored 19 points and 4 assists. American power forward Sam Freeman (208-2001, college: CSUSB, agency: Haylett Sports) chipped in 18 points and 6 rebounds. American point guard Marlain Veal (175-1996, college: SE Louisiana) produced 22 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import guard Holland Woods II (184-1998, college: GCU, agency: MSG) added 21 points and 5 assists respectively for the hosts. Four Fenerbahce 2 players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Haremspor moved-up to eleventh place. Loser Fenerbahce dropped to the tenth position with ten games lost.
