Bottom-rankedPinar Karsiyaka managed to get a third victory, breaking the two-game losing streak. This time they won against ninth-ranked Tofas in Izmir 107-101 . Karsiyaka dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Tofas ' 40 and made 18-of-21 charity shots (85.7 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Tofas 40-28 including 29 on the defensive glass. Karsiyaka players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. American guard Cameron Young (195-1996, college: Quinnipiac, agency: Slash Sports) notched a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds to lead the effort and the other American import power forward Christian Bishop (201-1999, college: Texas) supported him with 22 points and 7 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Even 25 points, 9 assists and 4 steals by Mexican-American point guard Alexander Perez-Kaufmann (191-1993) did not help to save the game for Tofas . Lithuanian center Marek Blazevic (209-2001) added 25 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (perfect from the field making all ten shots !!!) for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Karsiyaka (3-11) moved-up to fifteenth place. Tofas at the other side dropped to the eighth position with seven games lost. They share it with Galatasaray.
