Regular Season Round 16: Turk Telekom - Besiktas 87-84

The most exciting game of round 16 in the BSL took place in Ankara. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of much higher rankedBesiktas (13-3) to fifth ranked Turk Telekom (11-5) 87-84 on Sunday evening. It was a great shooting night for Turk Telekom especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 56.3 percentage. 26 personal fouls committed by Besiktas helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international point guard Dogus Ozdemiroglu (191-1996) who helped to win the game recording 15 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals. American-Montenegrin guard Kyle Allman (190-1997, college: CS Fullerton) contributed with 16 points and 4 assists for the winners. Croatian center Ante Zizic (210-1997) replied with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) and the former international point guard Berk Ugurlu (192-1996) added 11 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists in the effort for Besiktas. Five Turk Telekom and four Besiktas players scored in double figures. Turk Telekom moved-up to third place, which they share with Trabzonspor and Bahcesehir. Besiktas lost third consecutive game. They keep the second position with three games lost.
