Not a big story in a game when 16th rankedBuyukcekmece (2-15) was defeated on the road by fourteenth ranked Manisa (5-12) 79-71 on Friday. Manisa had a 18-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Brazilian power forward Joao Cardoso (203-2000) who had a double-double by scoring 25 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks. American guard Scoochie Smith (191-1994, college: Dayton) chipped in 11 points and 7 assists. Senegalese center Aziz Bandaogo (213-2001, college: Cincinnati) produced 14 points and 7 rebounds and Dutch point guard Keye Van Der Vuurst (191-2001) added 12 points and 5 assists (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) respectively for the guests. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Manisa moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Petkim and Mersin Spor. Buyukcekmece lost their fourth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 15 games lost.
