No shocking result in a game in Istanbul where second rankedBesiktas (15-3) defeated bottom-ranked Buyukcekmece (2-16) 79-62 on Friday. Besiktas outrebounded Buyukcekmece 42-31 including 32 on the defensive glass. Croatian center Ante Zizic (210-1997) had a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American Anthony Brown (199-1992, college: Stanford) chipped in 10 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Four Besiktas players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Senegalese center Aziz Bandaogo (213-2001, college: Cincinnati) with 15 points and 7 rebounds and American Jalen Lecque (194-2000, college: NC State) scored 11 points and 4 assists.
