We should mention about the upset which took place in Balikesir, where 9th rankedDarica (6-9) lost to twelfth ranked Burhaniye (6-10) in a road game 59-76 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Darica. Burhaniye forced 23 Darica turnovers. The game was dominated by American players. Guard Grace Efosa-Aguebor (180-2002, college: Providence, agency: LBM Management) scored 27 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and center ALexxus Davis (188-1996, college: USC Upstate) chipped in 6 points and 16 rebounds during the contest. Efosa-Aguebor is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. Burhaniye's coach Mustafa Secerlioglu used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was forward Dekeiya Cohen (188-1996, college: Baylor) with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and guard Brittany Byrd (176-1996, college: UIC) scored 19 points and 8 rebounds. Burhaniye maintains twelfth position with 6-10 record. Newly promoted Darica dropped to the tenth place with nine games lost. They share the position with Adana.
