There was no surprise in Izmir where bottom-rankedErokspor (0-7) was outplayed by third ranked Petkim Spor (6-1) 97-71 on Friday. Aliaga Petkim dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Erokspor 's 26. Aliaga Petkim forced 22 Erokspor turnovers and outrebounded them 47-23 including a 17-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Aliaga Petkim looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Emre Yazici fired 13 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Berat Cevik (-2007) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds. Ridvan Akbeniz (-2007) produced 17 points and forward Berk Ustundag (190-2008) added 14 points respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Petkim Spor . Aliaga Petkim moved-up to second place, which they share with Tofas. Erokspor lost their seventh game in a row. They still close the standings with seven games lost. They share the position with Merkezefendi.
