There was no surprise when 9th rankedManisa Izmir (4-5) was defeated on the road by fifth ranked Pinar Karsiyaka (6-3) 79-74 on Saturday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Karsiyaka looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Yalin Yildiz (185-2008) who helped to win the game recording a triple-double by scoring 23 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists and Mehmet Aslantas (-2008) who added 15 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Mehmet Delibas (-2008) responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds and Ugur Gul scored 20 points. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Pinar Karsiyaka have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position with 6-3 record, which they share with Besiktas. Loser Manisa Izmir keeps the ninth place with five games lost. They share the position with Fenerbahce.
