Bottom-rankedMerkezefendi (0-9) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 87-51 loss to third ranked Tofas (7-2) in Denizl. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Merkezefendi 's 28. They outrebounded Merkezefendi 65-37 including a 23-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. Tofas players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Merkezefendi 's players. Center Emirhan Serbest (205-2007) orchestrated the victory by scoring 9 points and 16 rebounds. Forward Kerem Corumlular (195-2008) contributed with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Four Tofas players scored in double figures. Okyanus Cetin replied with 18 points and 7 rebounds and Kerem Oral added 11 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Merkezefendi. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Tofas have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 7-2 record having just two points less than leader Anadolu Efes. Merkezefendi at the other side still closes the standings with nine games lost.
