There was no surprise when 13th rankedBodrum (4-14) was edged at home by eighth ranked Burhaniye (9-10) 61-58 on Saturday. Burhaniye forced 21 Bodrum turnovers and had a 18-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. American center ALexxus Davis (188-1996, college: USC Upstate) stepped up and scored 8 points and 19 rebounds for the winners and her fellow American import guard Grace Efosa-Aguebor (180-2002, college: Providence, agency: LBM Management) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds. Davis is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Burhaniye's coach Mustafa Secerlioglu used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was Yagmur Yildiz (172-2000) with 13 points and 9 rebounds and American forward Bre Gunnels (185-1999, college: UNI, agency: DC Sports) scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. Burhaniye have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Mersin G. Loser Bodrum keeps the thirteenth position with 14 games lost.
