Not a big story in a game in Izmir where 15th rankedPinar Karsiyaka (4-16) was defeated by seventh ranked Galatasaray (12-8) 82-72 on Sunday. Galatasaray looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was American center Freddie Gillespie (206-1997, college: Baylor) who had a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds. American swingman Charles Manning Jr (197-1998, college: USA) produced 15 points and 5 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Cameron Young (195-1996, college: Quinnipiac, agency: Slash Sports) added 18 points respectively for the hosts. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Galatasaray moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Anadolu Efes and Turk Telekom. Karsiyaka lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fifteenth position with 16 games lost.
