Regular Season Round 23: Emlak 2 - Istanbul GSK 71-85

TKBL top team -Istanbul GSK (17-4) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat tenth ranked Emlak 2 (8-13) 85-71 . Istanbul GSK made 19-of-24 charity shots (79.2 percent) during the game. They also forced 21 Emlak 2 turnovers. Istanbul GSK players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. It was a quality performance for American center Sasha Goodlett (195-1990, college: Georgia Tech, agency: LBM Management) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds. Her fellow American import guard Doniyah Cliney (182-1996, college: S.Carolina) accounted for 24 points and 4 steals for the winning side. Eda Balkan (-2004) came up with 19 points and 5 rebounds and Asya Ulker (-2005) added 14 points respectively for Emlak 2 in the defeat. Emlak 2's coach Benan Uyar rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Istanbul GSK have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain first place with 17-4 record. Emlak 2 at the other side dropped to the eleventh position with 13 games lost.
